Who We Are

SweepHound is operated by WADA BV, a company registered in Belgium. When this policy refers to “we,” “us,” or “SweepHound,” it means WADA BV.

What We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide and improve the service:

• Account data — Name, email address, and authentication credentials managed through Clerk. If you sign up via a social provider, we receive only the name and email they share.
• Scan data — URLs you submit for scanning, the HTML content of scanned pages, accessibility violations detected, and remediation results we generate.
• Usage analytics — Anonymous page-view data collected via PostHog in cookieless mode (in-memory-only persistence, no cookies, no localStorage, no cross-session or cross-site tracking). We also record account-level product events (e.g. scan completions, subscription changes) tied to your tenant account to improve the service. These events are pseudonymous and never shared with third parties for advertising.
• Payment information — Billing details are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
• Support correspondence — Messages you send through our in-app support chat or via email.

How We Use It

• Provide the service — Run accessibility scans, generate remediation guidance, track scan history, and deliver reports.
• Improve the product — Analyze aggregated scan data to improve our detection rules and remediation engine. We do not sell or share individual scan data with third parties.
• Send notifications — Scan completion emails, monitoring alerts for regressions, and essential account communications. You can opt out of non-essential emails.
• Process payments — Manage subscriptions, invoicing, and billing through Stripe.

Sub-Processors

We use the following third-party services to operate SweepHound:

Data Retention

• Account data — Retained for as long as your account is active.
• Scan data — Retained for 12 months from the scan date, then automatically purged.
• Account closure — When you close your account, we delete all associated personal data and scan data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., invoicing records).

Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data.
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Restriction — Request that we limit processing of your data.
• Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

International Transfers

Some of our sub-processors are located outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, supplemented by additional technical and organizational measures where appropriate.

Children

SweepHound is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (using the address associated with your account) before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
