Terms of Service

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Acceptance

By creating an account or using SweepHound, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using SweepHound on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Description

SweepHound provides automated accessibility scanning, monitoring, and remediation guidance for websites. The service analyzes web pages against WCAG 2.2 criteria and generates code-level fix suggestions. SweepHound is a technical tool — it is not legal advice. Our scan results and remediation guidance do not constitute a legal opinion on your compliance status.

Account Terms

  • Each account is for a single person or organization. Sharing credentials between multiple users is not permitted.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use SweepHound responsibly. You may not:

  • Use the service to scan websites you do not own or have authorization to test.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
  • Exceed reasonable rate limits or use automated tools to place excessive load on the service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our user interface or API beyond normal use.
  • Use SweepHound to facilitate accessibility lawsuits, demand letters, or legal threats against the sites you scan.
  • Resell or redistribute scan results as a competing service.

Scan Limitations

SweepHound flags many common accessibility issues automatically and generates recommended manual checks for key pages and user flows. Results are guidance, not certification. A clean scan does not mean your site is fully accessible or legally compliant. Automated scans and generated follow-up recommendations should be supplemented with manual testing, including keyboard testing and screen reader evaluation.

We are not lawyers. Nothing in the service constitutes legal advice, and scan results should not be presented as a compliance certification to regulators, courts, or third parties.

Payment Terms

  • Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
  • Refund policy: Annual subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rata refund if cancelled within 30 days of purchase or renewal. Monthly subscriptions are not refundable. Top-up credits are refundable for unused credits within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are issued by contacting support.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes apply at the next renewal, not mid-cycle.

Intellectual Property

SweepHound and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by WADA BV and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of the websites you scan and the data you provide. Scan results and remediation guidance are licensed to you for your use in connection with the scanned properties. You may share scan reports with your team, clients, or contractors as needed.

Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep SweepHound available and performant. However, we do not offer a formal SLA for free-tier accounts. Paid plans receive priority support and higher uptime targets, but no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

Disclaimer of Warranties

SweepHound is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scan results will be complete or accurate. We do not warrant that using SweepHound will make your website compliant with any law or standard.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WADA BV's total liability for any claims arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can close your account through the dashboard or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay. On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
